I’m wondering what they’re thinking with that, BP has a TON to lose here (beyond what they’re already losing) by seriously pissing the gov’t and the locals off, especially via pissant half-hearted payments.

And another thing they’ve done:
Our Workforce Commission had 13,000 resumes, people out of work due to this thing, people skilled and experienced working in these areas, and then discovered BP hired a bunch of out-of-state folks to come in and work in some areas.

Twice, BP has PROMISED to make sure qualified La. folks get first access to the jobs - and TWICE they’ve been found to have brought in folks from elsewhere.

They are not playing “fair” with us at all.
