Just one thing: my mom’s a retired teacher. Her pension is, indeed, as you describe, as are her benefits. However, she’s 73 (going on 74), and your “sweet deal” isn’t covering all her expenses.

I know that the plural of anecdote isn’t data. But…it’s not all beer and skittles, all right?
