I see Politico is trolling the public with a piece on polyamory, which the religious right is picking up as a SEE!SEE!SEE! - proof of a supposed slippery slope.

I for one think polygamy is kind of strange, but I do wonder if fear of it is truly rooted in principle or just a knee jerk reaction.

Since polyamory will in most societies mean polygamy it is pretty clear that there is a gender bias, and thus discrimination, built into the idea of selling polyamory. And as a male I think polyandry has little appeal to most men.

I think the whole idea is moot, but on the other hand I wish the right for SSM came in a better designed legal package, where a solid basis for a prefered social contract in the form of a two-party relationship was developed.
