So let’s review. In one day, the Republican party:

—Had a sitting Congressman (Steve King) offer up outright white supremacy on TV
—Had a floor fight among delegates over a roll call vote on Trump
—Saw entire state delegations walk out of the convention
—Had a couple of has-been actors spout the equivalent of Breitbart comments on TV
—Exploited the mother of one of the Benghazi dead for their own gain
—Had their nominee call into Fox News and give an interview while the Benghazi mom was speaking, so her entire speech was wasted time
—Had a retired general lead a chant on national TV to “Lock her up!” from the podium, which is unprecedented in American politics
—Had Rudy Giuliani give a crazed, unhinged speech that involved yelling and flailing a lot

And that’s all BEFORE Melania spoke. The fact that her speech was plagiarized is the LEAST of all the problems the GOP had yesterday, but it’s the only issue guaranteed to get Trump’s attention because of course it is.
