The A-20 Havocs we supplied the USSR with didn’t hurt either. They also received P-39 Airacobras, P-63 King Cobras, B-25 Mitchells, and the Soviets built C-47s under license. The UK also supplied the USSR with Hurricanes and Spitfires.

Meh, they helped but the they would have survived without any of the lend lease stuff except for the trucks. Having the trucks allowed the Soviets to concentrate their own manufacturing on tanks and planes.

The C47 license did seriously help but those were still all built in Rodina. The planes were useful but not “necessary” the same way the trucks were.
