Just because at one time in your life you were at XXX salary does NOT mean you ALWAYS have to be at XXX level
Well of course it doesn’t. But that explanation seems to fall on deaf ears with the bank that hold your mortgage, the college your kid(s) attends demand for tuition and the like.
What I was pointing out - which you obviously missed, is that losing a job where a person has been making $100K a year and replacing it with a job that pays $40k a year, isn’t REALLY reducing unemployment, it is, however, increasing UNDEREMPLOYMENT.
And oh yeah, I got the Tee shirt too - from above the $100k a year to Social Security Disability income which is waaaaay less than the $40k a year. Fun isn’t it?
