That’s because they weren’t pacifists. They were anti-American. There is a huge difference.

The people who call themselves “pacifists” only seem to oppose wars in which the US (or our allies, like Israel) is involved, and somehow only attempt to protest or hinder the US (or…) side.

It goes back to the days of Hanoi Jane. Her fervor for the people seemed to erode and fade away when the Khmer Rouge were committing genocide. I might have been able to generate a little respect if she’d been consistent and protested them as vehemently as she did her own country. She did not and earned my eternal contempt.
