Ah! But, to use your example that you got the sprinkers (mandated) you actually got something for your money would support the argument that you really aren’t paying federal income tax because, among other things, you get an interstate highway system in return.

Actually, that’s a pretty decent point. In the case of the highway though, I can’t keep the bit I paid for, but still, a interesting argument.
