While lighter colors do tend to reflect more heat energy, it’s not enough to make much of a difference. Insulation would be a much better idea.

It should reduce the AC loading a lot, plus the lighter colors reflect more heat into space. It’s just one tiny, but easily done thing, not a total solution to anything.
I like to see the math on what percentage of man made structures cover the earth though, it must be a very small number.
