Palestinian politics may be that of a refugee camp, but try to think with those of your bodyparts provided for that. Whod want to have casinos and stuff in their backyard, when the currency is just being screwed by too much gambling in the markets? If Gaza went into the direction you are pointing at, it would become like a reservation with the population density of a ghetto, with inhabitants living off the suckers but with no recognizable purpose. The issue at stake for the Palestinians here is that the planetary resources accessible from that region are still controlled by retarded tyrants who deny them and others their fair share. When the thinking goes beyond Israel (resp. the U.S.) acting as their prop, losing the issue which brought one there in the first place would be like spiritual suicide. In other words, they are already following that recommendation.
