The context of the discussion though is the use of torture, and IW brought in those examples. Elsewhere on the thread she posted a link to the report source.

The argument, as I understand it, is that if torture is allowed as a valid means of gathering information then the result (that one can expect in a war) is exactly what IW reported - captives beaten to death.
