Fuck that shit. I’m not letting the assholes define who or what is American.

If George Takei can still be positive and fight for what’s right, so can I.

You know, I remember back just about a year ago when the bozo Bundy clan was occupying the sanctuary in Oregon. Many people were bitching about the lack of response from the Feds and how that all would lead to other militia type groups flying in the face of Obama and the Feds.

Some people lost all faith in Obama and the Feds. They called him and them weak and powerless, and much worse.

They said if there wasn’t a strong response all national lands and institutions would be over run by the crazies. It almost seemed at time they really wanted it to happen.

And then one day the Feds pulled their well thought out plans and the occupation was over with only one dead who wanted to go out a martyr and the Bundy’s and the other main culprits all in jail.

Yeah, I know we are facing real problems here in America. But we are still a population of 318+ million people. We do have power.

And eventually the people will say it is time to put a stop to this. I believe in this county’s institutions and our laws. I believe there are enough good people that will be willing to do what is right to end the reign of the Orange Oaf and the likes of a Nazi like Bannon.

It is going to take time, but I am encouraged by the demonstration that are going on. Here in Columbus there have been three days of demonstration. Add that all to Trump’s weakening support from even the people that voted for him and there will be change.

And I too am going to do all I can to help. I spent about a half hour this afternoon writing to Rob Portman (again) and to Mitch McConnell (again) and I am trying to find a way to contact Paul Ryan too. I am also getting emails from the Democratic party asking for assistance for candidates running in the next few years. I am going to do my best to see if I can assist on campaign materials.

And I am hoping that one day, just like on January 26th last year, Trump will be traveling down the road he is on thinking everything is going smoothly and he too will be stopped.

It sure is a lot better on the ol’ personal constitution to think this will all end eventually than to get despondent and think all is hopeless. Fuck. That. Shit.

Fight. Resist. Do all you can in your power. But never toss in the towel in frustration.

That will lead to the bad things some seem to be worried about.
