Here’s my point about kids. The young ones are not going to be very good at social distancing with their peers or with grandma. They may be less likely to pass the virus to others, but will have many more opportunities than responsible adults. I come into contact with people two or three times a day (always wearing a mask). Kids probably interact with that many per hour if not more. The contacts add up. Add the fact that schools are overcrowded and you have more kids getting exposed and getting sick. And hence the need for testing, contact tracing and all those other steps we’re not taking.
