the complicated arguement - over many syllables - is:

When?
Who from?
Who Much?
By what method?

Very few people believe that taxes are not needed, and the “one syllable” comment comes across as insulting. Yes, taxes are needed, but no, people are not entitled to nearly as much as people seem to think they are, especially when paid for unwillingly by someone else. “Paid for unwillingly by someone else” - that is a multiple syllable way of saying “Stealing”
