Folks, the Chinese military is becoming a more formidable force; they are no where near where the US is and they have a fraction of the capability. Their naval, air and land forces use equipment that the US would not have used in the 80s. The do benefit from US technology and R&D which they steal or knock off but, at the end of the day they are geostrategically weak, with potential enemies on all sides except the Pacific Ocean.

The US and China have good relations and I expect that trend to continue for a very long time. We are perfect organic allies with trade and interlocking interests and, believe it or not, they remember all we did for them in WWII.
