One of the creepiest wingnut comments on American Jews and Israel I ever saw was along similar lines and said “I don’t understand why American Jews so hate their country [Israel].” Uh……most of the Jewish people I know were born in the US, have lived their whole lives in the US, and consider the US “their country”. That quote went a long way towards telling me that the right still considers Jews to be an alien presence in the US.
