Although this is true, there are members of Congress who don’t care about domestic abuse/violence, that is, until it happens to them or to one of their loved ones. They didn’t care enough to help the residents of Flint, but they acted quickly when it was discovered that lead was in one of the buildings they use. Also, look at how long it took the GOPers to vote to renew the VAW Act, and even then, not all of them voted for it. They are quick to say how much they care about this or that in public, and just as quick to vote against it in Congress.
