I know, I just wish people would give up on the whole Being Nice Gets the Job Done shit. When dealing with bullies, new rules apply. You do what they do right back, take no shit and push back harder. I lived with an abusive bully for a few years a long time ago. It stopped when I grabbed a fucking hammer and hit him with it while he tried beating me for not having enough snacks in the house that day. And then the crying started and then the threats. I was gone by then, but he never laid a finger on me again or tried to find me like lots of abusers do. You have to fight just as dirty as they do.And you can do it without lying and cheating. Make them scared of real shit, not the stupid made up caricature of liberals they’ve been scared of for as long as I’ve been alive. When nice = weakness to someone, it won’t fix a thing to be nice and polite. That only works on non sociopaths/psychopaths.
