Hi, Lizards.

Been lurking for about a year (sent here from A. Sullivan). What does “Lizard” refer to?

I’ve been living abroad (japan) since before Clinton, and am most interested in what mainstream (“willing to talk to the other side”) Americans think. I’m basically left, but am a Sullivanized left and understand the the traditional right stands for much that I believe in: freedom of thought, freedom of association, etc. I’m almost exactly half way round the world from most of you, so timely posting is problematic… That said, I’m so glad to have found LFG for a forum where Left and Right can at least TALK to each other.
