The problem is that the argument’s absurd. The entire structure of the NSA is designed so that no one person will ever have the power to direct its surveillance efforts. Even if Christie becomes President, the idea that he could just use the NSA like a personal spy agency is beyond ludicrous. It does not work that way.

Also, he’s got the FBI. The FBI that actually does tons of domestic infiltration shit. It still boggles my mind that people are freaking out about the NSA when the FBI will actually send undercover agents to infiltrate your organization.
