They’re big fans of it, as long as it works in their favor. Any chance of giving “the enemy” an advantage must be stopped.

And on that note, the one major thing that REALLY pisses me off about Republicans: Democrats should not be “the enemy”. We are all Americans. Fuck this partisan, I’ll-kill-the-country-if-I-don’t-get-my-way bullshit. Man up and learn to compromise in the name of American patriotism.

It’s the whole idea that they’ve convinced themselves that they are the “real Americans” and liberals especially those who live in cities, bright blue areas, etc are less than them. I blame Palin for fueling a lot of that. Nothing wrong with living in a rural conservative area mind you but it does NOT make you more of an American than urban liberal city dweller.
