Advice for anyone who wants their videos to seem more professional: buy a cheaper camcorder and invest $300 in a wireless lapel mic and radio receiver that plugs into the audio input jack of the camera.

Depending on the video genre -I have some experience with that. Wireless (I have a Sony) can be subject to interference, like fluorescent lights have forced me to go back to a wired lavalier. Or consider a camera mic., which will be an investment I make pretty soon myself for my D7 SLR.
