The Feds gave the loonies a ton of grist for the mills of insanity with the way those particular events were handled. It sucks.

How else should they have handled it? Called them from Washington and politely asked them to turn themselves in?

When you have a bunch of self-proclaimed holy warriors who are armed to teeth, spread across several states, and planning violence against the police you do not give them warning. You do what was done here, you mobilize a lot of people, swoop in at night and with overwhelming force and surprise them all simultaneously. It would seem that they were very successful, no one was shot, there were no armed standoffs, no “Ruby Ridge” scenarios. They caught eight of the nine people they had warrants for flatfooted and unable to offer resistance.

I would say that all in all it went extremely well and was done professionally.

What is it that you suggest they should have done differently?
