I was thinking more of the “hard-bodied” insects (like ants, beetles, ticks/mites)…the Ancient Greeks would pour the powder of the ground-up flower heads around baseboards to keep the pests out ..(I hear that slugs can be humanely trapped…you use a bait in a container…could use a “catch and release” program (?) … I think PETA would approve of that one…)
The “bait”used in many of those containers is beer.
But alas, there is no catch and release - they drown.
