You’re conflating every Iraqi and Afghan that resisted a foreign invasion of their country with Islamist terrorists. By your standard Bush is also responsible for killing far more innocent people minding their own business, and thus providing the motivation for their family and friends to take up arms against us.

Anyone who allies with Al Qaeda or the Taliban is an Islamist in my mind. I don’t draw distinctions on that sort of matter: Ally with scumbag enemies of America and you become scum yourself.
