I wonder, if racism, like gay prejudice, cell phone usage, and the internet, are just things that will take generational change to resolve. I was born & raised in So.Cal., but the racist attitudes that I experienced at home, still pop into my mind. I know they’re not right, but they are what I was raised with. I think the tide of change is rising, but it may take a whole generation. or more, to be rid of tese attitudes.

By dad was a immigrant from Greece early this century, and he and his friends were both racists and antisemitic.
When I was a kid, I recall my godfather asking a gas station attendant if the owner was Jewish, since he did not give any business to Jews.
That sort of conduct disgusted me and make me much more tolerant, and my son has zero patience for any kind of prudence. I think as time goes by, things will improve.
