But, if you look at the concentrations of THC in current "pot" plants, versus 20 years ago, you can see the influence that man and selective breeding can have, on a particular species.
IIRC, THC has gone from 4% to over 20%, with selective breeding.
Don't quote me, I'm not current on this herb.

My personal experience makes me a bit touchy about that word and I might be too quick to jump to that conclusion.

After constantly reading hopeful comments on various websites about the Republicans taking back control of the Senate in 2010 I decided to do some checking on how likely that is. While it is still laughably early to really attempt to nail any of these races down (still 365 days away), I wanted to get 'the lay of the land' so to speak. Based on the early polling numbers that I could find, this is a simple approximation of where we are right this minute. A new video of Jeremiah Wright has surfaced, showing Barack Obama's pastor of 20 years praising Marxism and discussing his ties to communists in El Salvador and Nicaragua and the Libyan government. Equally important, Wright is being introduced in the video by Robert W. McChesney, co-founder of Free Press, an organization which has come under scrutiny for its links to the Obama Administration and dedication to the transformation and control of the private media in the U.S.
In an article in the socialist Monthly Review, "Journalism, Democracy, and Class Struggle," McChesney declared, "Our job is to make media reform part of our broader struggle for democracy, social justice, and, dare we say it, socialism."
In the video, which captures Wright's appearance at a September 17, 2009, anniversary celebration of Monthly Review, Wright said that while the "corporate media" provide a "binary lens" of the world, in such terms as "communist versus Christian," Monthly Review offers what it calls "no-nonsense Marxism."
He added: "You dispel all the negative images we have been programmed to conjure up with just the mention of that word socialism or Marxism."
He called America "land of the greed and home of the slave."

Yes. It's a mild 40 degrees, going down to a comfortable 26. No snow in the forecast for this week. That's good, considering we are in crossover between shows, we open our Xmas show on Nov. 13, and we have two more weeks of rehearsals.
Normally I don't have to get involved in rehearsals, but I am actually in this show, sort of. It's a radio studio version of "It's A Wonderful Life," where 5 actors play 125 characters, like in a radio show. I have to play the station stage manager, so I have a few lines and have to be on stage off and on, between running back to the control booth doing my regulars duties.
I had to cut my wonderfully long blond hair today and die it dark brown (see avatar).
I think Nov. 13th is a little early for a Xmas show.

You really think diaper boy Vitter has a chance? If the Republicans want to be sure of holding that seat the best thing they can do is convince Vitter not to run and come up with somebody better. I can also see him being beat in a republican primary. He's damaged goods.
As I said in the intro, this is strictly based on the current, one year till election, polling data. The error factor is going to be hugh to say the least, especially since most peoples first response to the poll was probably "What? I don't know, the primaries havn't even started yet!"
This is what the polls say right now, take it for what it is, in some races a wild leap of faith, in others there really is no doubt. Basically what it says is unless there is some completely unforeseen circumstance to drastically change the election climate the Republicans have no apparent chance of re-gaining a majority in the senate in 2010.
