OK, I've seen this four times now. What's with the bonsai? Is it instead of 'banzai', or is there some sort of little-tree connection I'm missing?
It's SB's new catch phrase for nonsensical things.

In short, bonsais are retarded trees.

It's part of their Reagan canonization. They've built up a mythos around him so that they don't have to deal with what he actually did or stood for.
43 | HappyWarrior Fri, Feb 19, 2010 2:35:44pm |
Shit every president since FDR has been Wilsonian to some degree. Nixon I know even put Wilson in his top 5 presidents. By the way there's a new biography out on WW that is really good and his retirement house in Washington D.C on embassy row is also real neat as well. Got to visit the latter for this presidents class I took here at Mason last year.

Ron Paul, of course, is the guy who didn't know about the racist tripe published in his own newsletter.
What they reveal are decades worth of obsession with conspiracies, sympathy for the right-wing militia movement, and deeply held bigotry against blacks, Jews, and gays. In short, they suggest that Ron Paul is not the plain-speaking antiwar activist his supporters believe they are backing--but rather a member in good standing of some of the oldest and ugliest traditions in American politics.

Foregoing things like logic, critical thinking, and reason leaves one more time to play tiddlywinks, so maybe it is.

Ann Coulter is speaking now but it isn't being broadcast...
Maybe that's for the best. My gag reflex has limitations.

Why, did she lose another 20 pounds?
(shudder)
The camera adds ten pounds, so technically, she only lost 10.

We're watching a cacophony of celebrity celebrations (Paul, Palin, Beck), not a coherent statement of governing principles.
The libertarianism of Paul is in direct conflict with the James Dobson view of America. The two will not coexist and they are lying to themselves if they think any alliance can last for longer than a single election.
This certainly is quite the "hate the people in power" culture we've got going in the US. Rightfully so, really, if you look at what the people in power have busied themselves with the last couple of decades.

For the sake of attribution, this blog appears to be the source of the bumper sticker tweetphotos I linked to earlier (I got to them originally by searching for CPAC on picfog.com, which allows searching twitpics):

I broadcast LIVE from the Conservative Political Action Conference today. It was a really large turnout this year and I'd be interested to see if the number of conference attendees surpassed last years count.Since I was there so early (5am call time) there weren't too many people around, but I kept myself entertained with CPAC swag...like these bumper stickers.

What if AGW deniers have way good sex lives?
It's illogical, all the friction would result in warming.

You just found a solution to a very real problem. Cover the globe in Astroglide! It's our only hope.

You can't be a libertarian and a social conservative. They are mutually exclusive positions. I would have a lot more respect for Ron Paul if his recent support base didn't come almost overwhelmingly from the latter -- essentially invalidating his entire platform -- except for the points dealing with fiscal responsibility. Which isn't a trade off I'm willing to make, and I'm becoming increasingly disappointed by people who are.

NO, I MISSED THE FEARLESS LEADER! And I had my tinfoil hat ready. Sheesh, the things I miss while I'm out having a life.
