re: #6 brookly red
Some good, some bad:
On 18 August 2009 the Guardian reported that a forthcoming documentary claims Stone was living on welfare and staying in cheap hotels and campervans. The film alleges that Stone's former manager, Jerry Goldstein, cut off his access to royalty payments following a dispute over a 'debt agreement', forcing Stone to depend on social security payments. [3]On Labor Day, September 7, 2009, Stone emerged at the 20th annual African Festival of the Arts in Chicago, Ill. He performed a 15 minute set during George Clinton's Performance. He performed his popular hits along with George Clinton's band, stealing the show. He left immediately after his short performance.
On December 6, 2009, Sly signed a new recording contract with the LA based Cleopatra Records. A new album is expected sometime in 2010.

But then, he'd realize that he was actually being racist, by trying to claim that 1/16th, and would back off of that as well.
Basically, this is what would happen if the women I went to college with tried to assassinate Obama. (Which seems highly unlikely, but if they did, this is what the thought process would go like.)

However, I also recognize the overwhelming possibility that he was making personal attacks only tangentially about the I/P conflict, with the goal of getting banned and labeling LGF as a anti Israel in some blog or other.
The last time he was here he "sarcastically" called for genocide against all Palestinians, however his sarcasm wasn't quite clear, and he was pissed off that anyone could have misconstrued him for an actual proponent of genocide.

The law of supply and demand in action?
Cost of US astronauts ride on Russia rockets soars
The price for American astronauts to hitch a ride on a Russian spaceship is going sky high.
NASA on Tuesday signed a contract to pay $55.8 million per astronaut for six Americans to fly into space on Russian Soyuz capsules in 2013 and 2014. NASA needs to get rides on Russian rockets to the International Space Station because it plans to retire the space shuttle fleet later this year.
NASA now pays half as much, about $26.3 million per astronaut, when it uses Russian ships. NASA spokesman John Yembrick said the cost is going up because Russia has to build more capsules for the extra flights. NASA had already agreed to pay as much as $51 million a seat for flights in 2011 and 2012, before the latest increase.

OT, From downstairs.
I was just a little late to Gegenkritik's banning.
I had a skirmish with him a few weeks back--a little sad to see him go, I thought he may have been sincerely misdirected and lacking manners and that he could have been helped.
A pro-Israeli voice for sure, but needed to remove his head from his ass.
Dude got banned? Good..
From day one he was a jerk to lizards..Questioned our Love for Israel.. Never had a back and forth discussion without being over the top.. I saw his dismissal as not if but when it would happen.
I don't recall ever speaking to him here...He reminded me of one of those crazy talking homeless people downtown.. You just walk by and don't say a word...

We interrupt our non-stop coverage of the Apocalypse for today's feel good moment:
Parents reunited with baby pulled rubble in Haiti
The parents of a Haitian baby rescued from the rubble after January's devastating earthquake said Tuesday it was "a miracle" that the girl survived, addressing reporters a day after their emotional reunion in the U.S.
Junior Alexis, 24, and Nadine Devilme, 23, hugged their baby Jenny during a news conference conference in Florida, where the 5-month-old girl was treated.
"I want to thank everybody, all the doctors, all the lawyers, because everything that has happened here is a miracle because my baby is alive and we have arrived in the United States," said Alexis, a hip-hop musician in Haiti who spoke through an interpreter.
Bob Martinez, the attorney for Jenny's parents, also teared up. He said the couple has received a one-year humanitarian visa from the U.S. government. The girl has received a two-year visa.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, Robert McDonnell, do hereby recognize April 2010 as CONFEDERATE HISTORY MONTH in our COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA, and I call this observance to the attention of all our citizens.
What the friggin' fuck?
[...] April is the month in which the people of Virginia joined the Confederate States of America in a four year war between the states for independence that concluded at Appomattox Courthouse [...]
Independence. Right. Nothing do to with defending the right to own human chattel. In fact, it was much like the Revolutionary War, if you don't think about it too hard.

We have a long way to go...But I believe we are moving forward..My God..We elected a Black President...Not because he was black..But man that dude can give a speech...And America wanted Change after Bush..In 3 years..No matter what Glenn Beck seems to think..
