Two Days Before Election, FBI Announces They Found Nothing Incriminating in the Emails on Weiner’s Computer
Here’s some big news that isn’t really shocking, because I expected nothing else. FBI director James Comey announced today that they have completed their review of the emails found on Anthony Weiner’s computer, and found nothing in them that incriminates Hillary Clinton.

So that’s it, folks. The end of the email controversy. This pseudo-scandal is as overcooked as soggy pasta.
And James Comey’s “bombshell” announcement a week ago, in the final days of a presidential election, now looks even more wildly irresponsible. Why didn’t they just do the review and then announce the results?
The sad fact is that Comey’s initial announcement has already done whatever damage it was going to do, and this follow-up completely exonerating Clinton, two days before election day, comes too late to reverse that damage.
Comey needs to be subjected to a serious ethical review. This has been one of the most jaw-dropping abuses of power we’ve seen from the FBI since the days of J. Edgar Hoover.
