Here’s the Dossier Alleging Russia Has Seriously Compromising Dirt on Our President-Elect

Freaky deaky Donald
Politics • Views: 50,785

Buzzfeed has published the dossier compiled by a former British intellligence agent, alleging that Russia has some really nasty compromising information on Donald Trump, and that they’ve been “cultivating, supporting and assisting him for at least 5 years.”

It says Trump stayed in the presidential suite of the Moscow Ritz Carlton, where he knew President Obama had stayed with Michelle Obama on an official visit, and hired prostitutes to defile the bed by “performing a ‘golden showers’ urination show in front of him.” Oh, man.

This brings a whole new meaning to the term “Wikileaks.”

But aside from the salacious stuff, this document also alleges a years-long collaboration between Trump and Russia that’s deeply troubling.

Of course, this information is unverified. But CNN reports that US intelligence agencies gave it enough credence that they included it in the briefing given to Trump last week.

Don’t be surprised if Trump suddenly cancels the press conference he had scheduled for tomorrow.

But at least it will be amusing to watch the news channels delicately try to describe “golden showers” as euphemistically as possible.

Spin Ideas?

Look for inconsistencies in the report and offer them as proof that the whole thing is a fabrication.

Take the Moral Low Ground: What normal, healthy American males has not watched a Russian pissing porn video?

Tell the press to stop Pampering Trump’s detractors as if their life Depends on it.

From the NYT

The summary was presented as an annex to the intelligence agencies’ report on the Russian hacking of the election, the officials said. The material was not corroborated, and The New York Times has not been able to confirm the claims. But intelligence agencies considered it so potentially explosive that they decided Mr. Obama, Mr. Trump and congressional leaders needed to be told about it and that the agencies were actively investigating it.

I can’t imagine Trump acting all normal after hearing this in front of people.

Trump’s sexual pecadilos are the sideshow. The reality is that the Russians think that they had Trump exactly where they needed him to be. His advisers were all in with advancing a pro Russian agenda, Trump repeatedly stated positions favorable to Russia, and everyone who had a functioning neuron and wasn’t tied to the GOP wondered what the hell Russia had on Trump and the GOP for the GOP to openly side with Russia over US time and again.

Patriots my ass. Trump was openly pushing the other side’s positions.

CNN is playing this story straight - and they’ve got all their heavy hitters running on the byline, including Carl Bernstein. Yeah, that Carl Bernstein.

And yes folks, that would also help explain why Bernstein was at Trump Tower last week to meet with Trump. He was likely trying to confirm or get Trump’s take on the reports, and add that to the reporting.

Trump is a wholly compromised person and his position is untenable.

It also raises still more questions about Comey, the FBI and the NY office, which decided that HRC emails were far more important, relevant, and pressing than evidence Russia was throwing the election and pushing a compromised candidate in the process.

Will this change anything January 20? Not likely, but it does increase the chances impeachment occurs later this year, and given who else knew or had reason to know, it’s likely we’ll see more people taken down by all this.

That includes Pence and Ryan, both of whom thought they could gain unlimited power on the back of Trump’s win, and may end up losing everything. Yeah, we’re talking constitutional crisis and something no one ever envisioned before, but we’ve been in uncharted territory since Trump entered the race and continued gaining ground in polls despite every racist, bigoted, or misogynistic statement. That he gained and won even after admitted to being a sexual predator shows just how in uncharted waters we’re truly in now.

Here’s a big thing to consider: What do you do in a situation where an entire administration may have been compromised? From the sounds of it, much of the Trump campaign either knew or suspected what was going on but said nothing. So impeaching Herr Hairpiece may be just the tip of the entire fetid iceberg. Pence could find himself implicated as well.

But that is what Russian Intelligence had in mind. They could have released this in October and we would be having a friendly, orderly transition to a capable Executive.

Now the US is a sad, dysfunctional mess and Russia can do whatever it wants without fear of any serious interference on our part.

For over a week now, people have been advising Trump to back off the attacks on the intel community, that it was going to come back to bite him in the ass. Well, now he’s got this story out there and the biggest support of it is “the intel community felt it genuine enough to include in the briefing.” There’s no intel community members rushing to discredit this report, none suggesting its utter bullshit, nobody there to have his back. He’s flapping in the wind here.

Let’s just type this out and make it totally explicit.

This is an unsourced, unverified story.

Exactly like the un-sourced, unverified stories that carried the news cycle all through 2016 about emails, health, the Clinton Foundation, et cetera.

…yet I suspect people who suspended their disbelief through 2016 will suddenly be deeply concerned. Indeed, this arrow will probably leave no mark, since the Grand Paraphelia Party has practice at ignoring or excusing basically all outre sexual activity, and a sizable portion of the Trumpian movement will actually find this to be some kind of plus.

Also, the pissing is vivid, but not as interesting as the business bits that follow. More of that, angry intelligence guys.

My wife and I started discussing Operation Golden Flow when it broke here and at Wonkette.

I’m of the opinion this might be the final straw that breaks Evangelical support for the GOP.

She is of the opinion this will not harm minority-President-Elect Trump in any way:

a)It’s OK if You’re A Republican
b)Admit nothing, deny everything, make counter-accusations
c)The point is gaining power. Now that they have it, they will do nothing to give it up. Since they control the House and Senate, there will be neither an impeachment nor even hearing.

Note Newt Gingrich was calling for a resurrection of the House un-American Activities Committee during the campaigns (in relation to Hillary Clinton). Over and under on him pushing for that now just sank to the bottom of the river.

I have done that for years. Paper and then duct tape. I was in a chat room like 10 years ago and a guy took a snap of me from my webcam (which was off) to show me how easy it was. I’ve taped it up ever since.

I use a little yellow sticky dot. May have to reconsider the color.

I’m with your wife. I agree with all her points.

And I would add that evangelical conservatives routinely excuse worse behavior (since the women always tempt the men, even when they’re barely teenagers and “tempting” their youth pastors by being forced to be around him and take his council), and have a magic ritual whereby behavior so egregious you can’t run around it is excused by saying a few magic words and maybe working in a soup kitchen for a bit.

I watch this shit go down on my local level as well as the national stage. The stated code of morals doesn’t matter; the org chart of how good-old-boy/rich/churchified is the only solid determinant of outcomes.

It could have been several “DemExit” Bros who tried to openly sabotage the DNC convention in Philadelphia coupled with a Nina.

These two excerpts are what have me wondering:
(page 15)
Its goals had been threefold—asking sympathetic US actors how Moscow could help them; gathering relevant intelligence; and creating and disseminating compromising information. This had involved Kremlin supporting various US figures, including funding indirectly their recent visits to Moscow…including Jill Stein, Carter Page and Michael Flynn.

(page 17)
Trump campaign insider reports recent DNC email leaks were aimed at switching Sanders (protest) voters away from Clinton and over to Trump.

I would hope our intelligence agencies are smart enough to know there is backing facts or they would have withheld it. This is too damaging to not have some kind of actual backing.

And they can;t let Russia know exactly how they came about it in the UK or here. So, if Russia is quiet they know they have a hole in their security. So, they may be quiet too.

I mentioned Assange earlier…maybe he will be the Russian message deliver man. He could do the denial.

If anything, like mentioned by others, it will force Trump to address it. If it is true and he knows it, he is not going to be the blustering big mouth as usual.

If things get real quiet in Trumpland…look the hell out.

CIA obtained evidence doesn’t need to be to FBI beyond a reasonable doubt. Different standards of evidence for intel gathering and for prosecuting a criminal case.

This is definitely the kind of thing that met at least threshold levels for inclusion in presidential briefings - and you’ve got to wonder the look on Obama and Biden’s face when they read this stuff about Trump.

You want a meme - that’s one ripe for picking.

But seriously folks, this is bad. Real bad. And the political system has no way of easily addressing it either.

re: #52 HappyWarrior

What happens though if it is proven he’s definitely compromised? You can’t just make Pence President. Honestly my choice would be to have Obama or Biden be interim President and a special election held. But this whole thing is just agh. Man it all could have been avoided if we had just did the right thing in November.

As always, have to step up to the pontification plate when it’s offered (grin).

Proven he’s definitely compromised? Nothing, unless/until he is impeached by the house and the Senate then convicts him at the trial. (Digression: on the whole impeachment process, I find it easiest to substitute indictment for impeachment. That takes it to trial, but unless there’s a conviction nothing else happens.)

If that happens, it’s a matter of sequence of events. The vice president replaces the president, normally. If he’s undergoing an impeachment trial as well there may be a hiatus, and the replacement then (temporary or permanent) is the Speaker of the House. Yes, President Paul Ryan is a potential thing.

Note that everything after “president is convicted” depends on timing. It is possible (oh FSM forfend) that Trump be convicted and Pence take his place, the house vote for a replacement VP, Pence be convicted and that person take his place, rinse and repeat till someone isn’t impeached and convicted.

The short answer? Mayhem, madness, and a possible constitutional crisis.

One thing PEEOTUS absolutely hates is being laughed at and not given (undeserved) respect. Part of his narcissism.

This is a nightmare that he never anticipated, primarily because he appears incapable of actual thought.

Am I evil for delighting in poor little soggy cheeto’s distress and his rage. Probably. And I’m loving it.

Yep—and my comment from the dead thread (where, as usual, I was talking to myself)

I’m far more distressed about the sections regarding Manafort, Page, Stein and Flynn. Yeah, the sexploits are cringe-worthy, but the other stuff is far more devastating—and seem to be being ignored in favor of the prurient.

This is America. Of course everyone is going to get into the juicy stuff and joke about it first. But you are right, there is a lot in that report. And it blows holes in a lot of people. They are going to have to address this to a now very inquisitive media. Not going to be easy to keep up the same old dodging, too many eyes on the story now.

I’m willing to give this time to cook. The decent media people will be digging into this big league!

Maybe the intelligence is counting on that and can pass out enough connection info and facts to the media they can go out and work on it for needed detail. That helps to protect all their spooks. It sometimes seems people forget the leaks that helped get this can’t just be exposed. We are not watching an easy to follow TV show or reality show.

Getting caught up on thread. Honest question: is this really going to make any difference to Trump’s supporters/conservatives/Republicans/the anti-reality crowd?

No matter what this guys does (on fucking video, no less); no matter what past evidence is presented; no matter how many “Where there’s smoke, there’s an inferno” allegations; these people just. Don’t. Care.

They are so far gone in their anger over a black guy running the country, among other things, they have literally rejected reality. Anything that is remotely critical of Trump is considering fake. Any video or audio of Trump saying the most ignorant things are considered doctored.

How do you fight this? How do you deal with people who reject the world around them like children who throw a tantrum when you tell them Santa isn’t real?

Can’t wait for Reince and Trump to lecture the DNC about “negligence” after that. This was obvious. Of course, they hacked both parties. They just didn’t have any interest in disclosing the contents of the RNC’s emails at the moment.

IMO Republican politicians and party leaders are in fear of Russia and that is why they are resisting any real investigation into Russian hacking. Once that starts, Putin can start leaking the stuff Russia collected from hacking the Republicans.

Thus the Russian silence on the Republican hacks… for now.

re: #371 AaronFromToronto

This had damn well better not be another Rathergate.

At this point, this is super damn thin.

Still a possibility of being a counterfeit or that the provided copy has been altered.

The interesting part will be seeing if intelligence services, or Obama, or Trump will confirm deny that the document as presented reflects the material presented in briefings those parties have been involved in.

That’s the difference between it being totally fake, versus a very rough outline of collected information…in the case of the latter, there would then be primary materials that maybe explained details better. Chain of handling might matter a bunch, because it’s a rump measure of who decided this had to taken seriously.

At the moment, I don’t think this will impact anything. It will be interesting to see if Trump takes aim against the media, the current admin, the intelligence services, or lumps them all into the sort of grand unified liberal conspiracy wingnuts bank on.
