Repeated from below:

Americans aren’t going to realize how good they’ve had it the past 8 years until the moment the next guy takes over and it’s a 24/7/365 shit show/pissing contest among power hungry extremists trying to screw over all Americans.

The GOP spent the past 8 years denying and obstructing everything this president did.

See what’s been accomplished.

Now imagine had they worked hand in hand for just a fraction of the things debated over the past 8 years - imagine what could have been accomplished.

Obama will take the high road on transfer of power; it’s what you do as POTUS. We need the next president to succeed, but Trump’s already flailing around in a piss covered shit show (Obama didn’t add).

[-]waste2muchtime 4 points an hour ago
There’ll be people in this thread defending this, calling it ‘just a sunnah’.
Wallāhi if you belittle the Sunnah, you should look at your relationship with Allāh عز و جل. How little love do you have for Him, that you take the makrūh as mustahabb, and the mustahab as makrūh.
For every Sunnah that is lost, a bid’ah enters this religion.

The Burqa is a hyper-regional garment, confined largely to the Afghanistan-Pakistan region.

And the Niqab is not much better, confined historically in the backwaters of the Nejd.

I can accept that to a degree:

For example, conservatives often argue that having a strong military is necessary to ensure the nation’s defence.

I agree, especially in having the second-best military in the world is the world’s most expensive hobby.

At the same time, having a powerful military is more than guns and aeroplanes. We need an active duty we support (which President Obama just spoke about now), supporting veterans, ensuring our money is spent wisely.

Narrow views that overwhelm the big picture. It’s how someone who clearly views the 6A as an afterthought becomes equal to someone who is actively fighting overseas with a terror group and becomes included on a UAV target list.

In the former, your and every other Americans’ rights are undermined with permanent detention and not adhering to constitutional protections.

In the latter, you’ve got individuals who have taken steps renouncing their allegiance to our nation and are working with those who would do us harm.

He was the first I ever voted for. Turned 18 a few years before he got eelcted.

When I say he changed me, I meant every word of it.

That’s why I think you should tell him - I’m sure these past 8 years have been an amazing burden. To know that he had an impact - on a personal level for individual people and not just on the global scale - that I think means the most to him. That’s the reason he was able to keep going. That’s what he said tonight, in some ways.

That really is something. I’ve told you all this before but I’ve always had a lot of respect for people like yourself. It was easy for me to embrace Obama. I’m a lifelong liberal from a liberal family so when I hear people like yourself who had been conservative and even wingnuts by your own admission say they feel he’s changed them, that makes me very proud of him as a president.

Last time he was here, he was going to do some research on the guy who brought Richard Spencer to Texas (Wiginton) for that speech and who also sublet an apartment to David Duke in Moscow.

That was a few weeks ago.

Props to all who have admitted you have changed your opinion of Obama, some admitting you didn’t vote for him.

Being a supporter from day one it is hard for me to understand how you couldn’t see it right off, but I am glad you did come to like and then admire him.

I have a couple older brothers that have hated him since day one…and they would never even give the man a chance or admit anything he did was good. Just pure hate.

As good as Obama has been, he has also had too many haters that just plain had no reason for the hate except for what is obvious. A black democratic well-spoken president. The three strikes and he was out.

I’ve been a rock solid centrist democrat for a long time. Ronald Reagan did that for me.

I just try seeing what inspires so much hate with him. Okay with Bill, I could see it especially if you genuinely are about that whole morality thing. I don’t think a president being an adulterer is the people’s business but if you’re bothered by that, I get it but Obama? A hard-working, loving father, for so many of them their hatred of him I think really is because he challenges them to be better Americans. They prefer people like Trump and the aforementioned Reagan who just tell them they’re great and that’s all they want to ehar.

The real game might be IMO to cast doubt over America’s ability to elect an adult President. So it may not be Russia’s end game to have someone they control in the WH but rather to show that even the U.S. can fall prey to a right wing populist demagogue like Trump.

She pointed out that all the compromised people who are with him (Flynn, &c) would be canned if Donald Trump is ousted. That would likely not serve Russia’s interest, unless the real game was to destroy the GOP.

I think the real point, from Putin’s point of view, is to destroy Americans’ faith in their own system.

And will not let up.

Yes, the mocking will be merciless and very well deserved.

Everything about him is so… sordid. His thin-skinned vaingloriousness, his boasting, his bullying & vindictiveness, his lack of maturity and poor speaking skills, his business practices & associations, (what we know of) his personal life—all of it is sordid. That’s the only word that really fits. He’s the polar opposite of the wholesome, loving, intelligence, maturity & empathy the Obamas & Bidens convey.

The contrasts are stark & unsettling.

That is all. G’nite, lizards.

It is not kink-shaming. It is about both hypocrisy and espionage.

I could care less about his hobby. It’s that he was stupid enough to get himself blackmailed. Plus the piss part is pretty nasty considering it wasn’t at his own home. So Trump is tweeting denials.

Remember this?

Legend has it that LBJ, in one of his early congressional campaigns, told one of his aides to spread the story that Johnson’s opponent fucked pigs. The aide responded “Christ, Lyndon, we can’t call the guy a pigfucker. It isn’t true.” To which LBJ supposedly replied “Of course it ain’t true, but I want to make the son-of-a-bitch deny it.”

Who were Page and Cohen again? And what were the four in reference to? I must have missed that since I was too busy being a child over the pee.

Cohen is the attorney who supposedly had the secret meeting in Prague.

Carter Page was a foreign policy advisor (who Trump claims he never met, uh huh) and who was meeting with Russian officials in defiance of sanctions.

Manafort and Flynn you know about—there was an article in littlegreenfootballs.com above that said there were 4 Trump people they tried to get warrants to bug.

That’s a possibility. Putin’s end goal could not to have a puppet like Trump in charge but to create mistrust of the system as a whole by getting a stooge like Trump elected in the first place.

It’s very plausible. Even in the best of circumstances — impeachments, resignations, indictments and resignations — Putin still wins.

Why? Because I wouldn’t trust a Republican with tying their shoes, let alone on any policy whatsoever. The mistrust between the two parties will be long-lasting and possibly permanent. It won’t result in a war, but humiliates us right off of the world stage.

I do care about the security of my country, and it has long been obvious conservatives (at least the current iteration) don’t, as long as they win.

Exactly. Claiming it’s fetish shaming is nonsense. I understand why these people may feel that way but that’s not what’s going on here. Well call me angry or maybe just cynical but if weird sex is all the vaunted Russian security apparatus has on our weird billionaire president elect, I’m gonna feel pretty dismissive of any alleged threat they pose. Gotta do better than millions of Pornhub search histories these days to make an impact.

1. If true the situation was pissing on the Obama’s bed. No sex, just using girls who would do it.

2. WAY more in the report, via CNN & Buzzfeed of collusion & possible blackmail to initialize an investigation that was presented to POTUS & feeble Trump.

3. The golden shower shit is just prurient fun. There is real stuff there.

4. The press cannot broadcast the golden shower shit, so blessed are us that they might talk about the important points.

Well, the original report I read had Manafort, Page, Flynn and Stein. It might have been totally off the wall.

I could be confused (nah, that’s never happened!) I was just guessing who the four people the Guardian quote above was talking about
littlegreenfootballs.com
which mentions 4 people on the Trump team last summer.

re: #399 Unshaken Defiance

Although, if you try, really, really hard, you might be able to get a Treason charge.

There was an interview recently with a MP from Syria who was supporting Assad. I will quote below.

Mr. Aboud proceeded to answer this question: ‘The Syrian security establishment and the Syrian intelligence services have infiltrated and deeply penetrated these networks. They have managed to take control of key structures within. Consequently, in my opinion, what is happening in Turkey, no one can stop that without cooperating with the Syrian security establishment. I will tell you the Syrian state is aware of important aspects of what is going on in Jordan and Turkey. There is a difference between knowing about these operations and actually running them.’

Essentially, Mr. Aboud admitted on Syrian state television that the Assad regime’s security forces are in control of certain structures within terrorist organisations such as Daesh through infiltration.

In reaction to these words, Rethink Rebuild Society Advocacy Director Haytham Alhamwi says, ‘This video only proves what we have been saying for a long time, that Assad and Daesh are two sides of the same coin. For fifty years, the Assad regime—father and son—have coordinated terrorist attacks outside Syria, mainly in Iraq and Lebanon. This association with and even control over Daesh is only the latest scandal.’

Edit: DAESH to/from Assad to/from Putin to/from Trump

There is no Constitutional mechanism to invalidate an election. Your choices are:

a) Resignation
b) XXV Amendment removal
c) Impeachment

And the Democrats should help the GOP with initiating none of those. Let the GOP pick their poison with their voters.

Vote to remove them? Sure. I am all in favour of the Dems doing that. Initiate it? No. The GOP put up what is beginning to look like a traitorous candidate, let them remove him and answer to their own supporters.

re: #493 klys (maker of Silmarils)

Remind me closer to the trip and I’ll have mr. klys pull up his travel notes. There was one place (traditional local food) that was so good we went twice. Another place that had the best pork he’d ever eaten - and he grew up in NC. Should have the names for both of them written down.

I will, thanks. It’s gonna be cool since I’ll have my four years of German brother along for the ride.

The claim is that they’re hoaxing the press and the intelligence services on purpose, to show that they’re biased and/or gullible.

This is not a 4chan prank. They’re spreading disinformation to try to discredit the dossier. The fact is this dossier has been circulating among journalists and politicians for months, and it’s verified to have come from a former UK intelligence professional.

It was not created by 4chan. That’s bullshit.

It’s pretty clever of them, after numerous cases where they DID hoax the press, to claim that’s what they’re doing when they had nothing to do with it.

Jack Burton  Jan 10, 2017 • 9:31:00pm

I just realized something.

Trump’s election is like if Aaron Burr had become president after the Hamilton duel. That whole cabal following Burr were a bunch of traitorous agents working to enrich themselves and help out the Spanish Empire to become “great again” in North America.

The only difference being that I don’t believe General Mattis to be the traitor that Wilkinson was, and even Wilkinson threw Burr under the bus when things got rough.

How did I miss this?

It’s emerged that the House GOP quietly changed a rule last week to allow members to keep their records hidden from ethics or criminal investigations.

The tweak allows politicians to conceal any information members produce — even suspicious expenditures and budgets — if the Office of Congressional Ethics or the Department of Justice investigates them for criminal activity, the Center for Responsive Politics reports.

The change essentially makes a member of Congress the owner and sole controller of any records he or she creates, regardless of whether those documents touch on a public interest, such as use of taxpayer funds or the commission of a crime.

I could care less about his hobby. It’s that he was stupid enough to get himself blackmailed. Plus the piss part is pretty nasty considering it wasn’t at his own home. If that’s what he wants to do at his own home, fine but Donnie’s girls pissing on the sheets at the hotel is just ansty. Then there’s the whole Obamas thing that just shows him to be a petty baby.

I keep wondering about where he slept after he had the ladies pee all over the bed.

I don’t believe it is a 4chan thing. But I thought it notable that I see the concept moving through comment sections. There’s already pre-fab images that “explain” the hoax by aggregrating text blocks and headlines from different places.

I read that this morning. Being a rule, rather than a law, I’m not sure if it would stand up in a court. That said, conservatives would have to be interested in the rule of law in the first place.

Well, I went there so you don’t have to (4chan), to see about the claims that this is some 4chan operation.

Nothing there mentions trying to do this (which is unlikely anyway, since multiple intelligence agencies in several countries are involved), but they are bashing liberals for being anti-fetish.

Over at FetLife, a place not known for bashing fetishes, they are having a field day around the world humiliating Mr. Trump.

I’m listening to all the storm mayhem on the scanner and I was caught off guard, I just heard a police officer on a stop say to dispatch, “There’s just a legal amount of marijuana in the car.”

As to the storm, it started on the 7th and in the past 4 days it dumped 6.05” on my yard. There’s flooding, mud slides, and trees down, leaving many roads impassible around the bay. I’m now up to 15.75” for the year on the rain gauge.

The wind and the rain has been pretty intense at points tonight. I went out to Ikea earlier today and was reminded why I don’t drive when there’s rain - not because I can’t, but because the majority of Californians can’t.
