I think Trump (or cronies) are using some of these Tweets as trial balloons before making any actual policy changes. The reporting of them acts as effective tests with the base or saber rattling at other countries without forcing any official action.

I’m likely going to have to explain to Canada customs why I had to go into MI and possibly explain the safety measures I took while in the states. It’s also mandatory - by law - that I self isolate when I return (14 days of not setting foot outside my house).

Listened to the podcast with Andy Slavin and Mucci. Doesn’t tell us anything very new, if only more clear with little nuance. Trump only cares about Trump; he only asks for advice is he’s not sure what the best course of action is, but as long as he thinks it benefits him, he’ll be for it. the issue seems to me is, since they are public accommodations, and licensed at that, are they adhering to whatever health and safety regulations might be in place

I just had a horrible thought. What if, when several red states eventually have bad secondary outbreaks, the administration accuses blue states of having hoarded supplies? (although their policy towards the distribution of those supplies seems to be the opposite at present) They might send federal LE to confiscate those supplies from those liberal bastions to save ‘real Americans’ and further inflame and separate different regions of the country. (Which seems like their goal)

USDA has oversight of all meat packing plants and they are extremely concerned (at least at the worker-bee level, which is up through senior management; political are unknown) about worker safety. We have one of the UV sanitizers, because a wise woman understands when to allow the husband to soothe his paranoia by purchasing a toy.
Folks have done testing to find that it does kill off a substantial amount of the bacteria, etc. on a phone.

Folks have done testing to find that it does kill off a substantial amount of the bacteria, etc. on a phone.
You can probably achieve the same result with a disinfectant wipe. But again, see the first line I wrote.

Completely missed this. I do a two pass… First put the sanitizer on my hands (not a ton but a fair amount to wet the phone) and rub it all over (careful around the connection points).
Let it sit until it dries - 1 minute or so.
Then take a cotton ball with sanitizer on it and rub it all over the phone again. I have a Loopy case so I make sure to clean every exposed part including under the loop.
Then clean the screen as you normally would.
I do this every time I go out and put the phone in my hand even for a second.

The entire Vegas economy basically runs on the rest of the country having disposable income. Whether it’s people living in Southern California or Phoenix driving up for the weekend, or people flying in for their annual long weekend trip, or bachelor(ette) parties… everything else grows out of that. You’ll be hard pressed to find anyone who isn’t more than maybe two degrees of separation from a casino employee. I have to go into Michigan tomorrow. I have to have a document notarized which means fairly close to other people. I also have to send out my voting application for them to send my ballot to Canada (fuck trump, I’m doing my part!) and pick up a couple of checks at my UPS box (they do the notarizations there).
I have an N95 mask and several sets of gloves (and sanitizer between glove changes). I’m worried about my eyes. Should I wear it like a face shield?
I’m likely going to have to explain to Canada customs why I had to go into MI and possibly explain the safety measures I took while in the states. It’s also mandatory - by law - that I self isolate when I return (14 days of not setting foot outside my house).

I want McConnell crushed.
I want the GOP decimated at all levels of government. I want them run from office and forever stained with the Trumpist tag for being complicit in Trump’s criminal conduct, the incompetent handling of covid19, and the white nationalist policies he pushed with the knowing wink and nod of McConnell and congressional GOPers.
Fuck the GOP.
And that’s still not enough. I want a 50 state sweep. I want to see and make that happen. I want it to be completely and totally indisputable and undeniable. I want it beyond all doubt that Trump and the GOP got crushed.
