You and I have talked about this before, I know….it’s not just that it would be good for the GOP, in my estimation, but it would be a good thing for the country. You can’t have a functioning democracy without at least two viable parties, and a party endorsing Goldwater conservatism would be attractive to a lot of different people— including people who are currently voting Democrat.

It’s still a 2 part problem though, Problem 1 involves getting the Party’s head out of it’s ass, Problem 2 involves the same operation on voters.

Until and unless people wake up and start paying attention, we will continue to get the governent we (as a nation) seem to deserve.
