I can’t believe anybody would be upset by the sounds of the frogs!

When I was growing up, we didn’t have AC, and so in the summer we had to sleep with the windows open and the attic fan going to bring in a breeze. When I think about my childhood, one of the things that stands out most in my memory is the sound of summertime - the cicadas at sunset, the frogs and crickets in the evening. I loved it! Still do, and I’ll go sit outside now on my porch after dark sometimes, just to hear those sounds.

I was concerned that people might get cranky being woken up, oversleeping for work, or whatever. Everybody seems cool about it. It seems that there;s a very brief noisy period of a day or two at the end of the mating season when some frogs are in the mood and others aren’t. I think they’re don mating noise and back to just pleasant chirping. Very soothing.
