I’m not saying I want her to go all lawsuit or anything. Just have some cake and eat it too: “Gosh, I certainly hope that creepy comment was a joke” or “Don’t get too excited, I’m pretty sure he was joking. Hard to tell, sometimes, but he’s not as bad as he makes himself sound, whenever he opens his mouth”.

Something not freaking out, but still with some rebuke in it.

I’m sure opinions vary, but I thought her response was pretty mild, delivered with a grain of “whatever” and pretty far from ballistic and seemed to be just enough to get him to back off a little bit. All in all, I thought she handled it ok.
