If the problem was inherent in Islam, then I and everyone I know would be running around causing mayhem. But we’re not. Most of us are actually pretty boring.

The problem is not exclusive to Islam, abortion related terrorism comes pretty exclusively from American Christians. However, Islam does have a serious problem. Not all Muslims are potential terrorists but there is an endemic problem. 9-11, Madrid, 7/7, Fort Hood, underwear bomber, Richard Reid, etc. It’s a very long list and each of these cases has its own unique motivation but there’s a pretty clear pattern. There’s a lot of room to debate the cause, motivation and possible solutions but I think it’s clear there’s a problem.
