The only way to get rid of those bastards is make it VERY UNCOMFORTABLE for the people that aide them and help them hide. On both sides of the border. These Taliban assholes do not exist in a vacuum. They have a safe haven in the border area because there is little consequence to the warlords and chieftains that help them out now. Let’s make it clear that siding with them will be very painful in several ways. Strength and power is what they understand in that part of the world. Talking to them and asking them nicely to be a good sport and point out the bad guys does not work. Drones, proxies or actual boots on the ground is the only way. Show them what happens when you play with fire - you get burnt.

then we need to eradicate the poppies…people will starve…there will be no substitute because that ground will be contested…free fire zone…we will have to ruin their safe villages which will cause an enormous refugee problem…boots and 24/7 airstrikes…so we do all this and wipe out the Taliban and the very people we went to save will hate us forever…it can be done but for what?…what good does it do us?
