Nate Silver reported early on that popularity in the high 50’s was not historically viable and that at best, a popular POTUS would be lucky to maintain 50 %. If anything, the country is becoming more polarized as shown by lower ratings for recent POTUS’s.

It seems, from reading recent comments of yours, when confronted with polls that DON’T support your political leanings, you run to Nate Silver to back up your points.

Yet, looking back over comments you have made in the last few months, anytime Obama was tracking positive in the popular national polls (Rasmussen, Gallup et al), you were fine with using facts and figures from those well known pollsters.

If Nate Silver’s polls start to track negative for Obama, it will be interesting to see where you go next.
