I also think it started out as the urban myth that ACORN would be conducting the surveys door to door. Another one is that the data collection agency is run by a secret battalion of the Communist central committee. Or something.

Kidding of course. But the ACORN myth was the big reason. It’s not true as we know since it’s a simple form. I wish taxes were this easy.
