That icon is offensive and there is no excuse for finding it less offensive than the equivalent ones showing Calvin pissing on the name of Jesus or G-d.

I bet if I were to use an avatar like the one you just described, the very same people who would defend Mandy’s or who would never think to object to it would be all over me.
