But ‘prog’, since it describes something that actually exists in a valid fashion, isn’t remotely the same as wingnut or moonbat.

Oh stop splitting hairs, it’s ridiculous. Wingnut is far more offensive than prog which is just an abbreviation of progressive. Should we say “peace be upon him” with every mention of a liberal or progressive now?
