Ahmadinejad has ramped up the support for Hezbollah, Hamas & the Muslim Brotherhood as a way to pressure the Sunni regimes and increase their influence in the Arab world. That is in contrast to the traditional Iranian view, which is that they don’t really care about Israel or the Palestinians.
