The point was not to get into a Constitutional debate. The point was to show how a world leader need not be constrained by spineless diplo-talk on issues of importance. Exhibit A - Sarkozy. Exhibit B - Obama.

I wish we switch heads of state with France. We get Sarkozy, a leader fitting the American temperament, they get Obama, a “leader” suited to the French temperament.
