I respectfully disagree, it’s not up to a POTUS to decide what religious clothing symbolizes, it’s not his constitutional responsibility.

Gee, but I wonder, would it be ok if he made a statement that he personally believes it symbolizes Islamist repression of women?

Being president doesn’t preclude a person from having a personal opinion, a moral compass, a belief in right versus wrong.
