So you want a President to speak out with a comment that would go against the concept of freedom of religion when certain expressions of faith seem repressive to us ? Where would that stop, Amish should be able to drive cars, and wear trendy cloths perhaps ?

French law allows restrictions on religion for public order, Sarkozy is within in bounds of French Law.

Sarkozy has spoken directly to freedom and the rights of the Iranian people, Obama has managed vague and muddle statements.

The Amish can drive cars, they choose not too.
