NY Times Blames ‘Conservative Blogs’ for the ‘Whitey Tape’ Fraud
Leave it to the New York Times (and the dishonest Barack Obama Fight the Smears web site) to try to pin the blame for the ludicrous Michelle Obama “whitey tape” rumor on “conservative blogs,” when the simple fact is that it was started by idiot liberal blogger Larry Johnson, who often posts his rambling nonsense at Daily Kos: Did ‘Conservative Bloggers’ Spread Michelle Obama Video Rumor? NYT Says Yes.
But the final straw for Mr. Obama, his aides said, was the story circulating on conservative blogs that a video existed showing Mrs. Obama making a racially tinged speech at their former church, Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.
For the record, here’s what I wrote about this hoax back on June 6th:
Larry Johnson (the source of the scurrilous and apparently false “Michelle Obama whitey tape” rumor) has zero credibility—something I’ve known for several years, which is why I didn’t write a single word about his claim.
The New York Times should correct this stupid, dishonest smear and apologize to “conservative blogs,” most of whom refused to fall for this fraud. (No, I’m not holding my breath.)
