Yeah, but that gunk can flow north in certain conditions. I recently saw the ranking of the most toxic beaches in California, and Redondo was not doing so well. Maybe not mostly due to the LA River, but other sewage outflows, and just the way Santa Monica Bay shunts all the bad stuff down towards Redondo and Torrance.

Captured U.S. soldier was ‘sold’ to local insurgent group; terrorists say they’ll release video soon
An American soldier who went missing from a U.S. base in eastern Afghanistan was “sold” to a local militant group - which claims it will soon release a video of the captive and a list of demands, a U.S. military official said.
“Our leaders have not decided on the fate of this soldier,” said a commander with the Taliban’s hard-line Haqqani faction, according to Agence-France Press. “They will decide on his fate and soon we will present video tapes of the coalition soldier and our demand to media.”
…
A U.S. military official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said they noticed the enlisted soldier was missing during a routine check on Tuesday and was first listed as “duty status whereabouts unknown.”

there are several other rivers/channels that do drain into the Bay, as well as the main sewage plant north of Redondo…. but, AIUI, part of the problem is that with it being back out of the SB channel because of the shape of the shoreline, it doesn’t exchange water as well….
with the current running down the coast, i’d be amazed if anything from the LB area could get around PV and into the SM bay without a truck or pipeline being involved.

It takes more energy to heat the water, cooling the person more, and air acts as an insulator because it doesn’t conduct heat well. That’s why a wind is cooling - it removes the air that you heated and replaces it with cold air.

It takes more energy to heat the water, cooling the person more, and air acts as an insulator because it doesn’t conduct heat well. That’s why a wind is cooling - it removes the air that you heated and replaces it with cold air.
it also evaporates your perspiration….

THat could be a good strategy. The fact is that the big fish come in to feed at dawn & dusk, so day swimming is pretty safe.

When first Platoon returned from Iraq we rented a beach house on Cleveland street in Oceanside…
I could hang in Oceanside on the beach…
Go a bit further south - Cardiff and Leucadia have some of the best beaches I’ve ever been in/on - and I’ve pretty much hit them all on the west coast. Besides just beaches, there’s also Swamis - THE best California spot for longboards, very nice long rolling break.

Loud Sex Leads to Assault Charge for Four Teens, Police Say
Thursday, July 02, 2009
PrintShareThis
TORRINGTON, Conn. — Police say a Connecticut girl overheard her mother’s screams during sex and thought she was being assaulted, so she rounded up some friends to attack the woman’s companion.
The 16-year-old girl, two boys and a 19-year-old man were arrested Tuesday and arraigned Wednesday on assault and conspiracy charges.
According to Torrington police and the woman, the girl thought her mother was being attacked on June 6. Police say the teens went into the bedroom and beat the mother’s 25-year-old companion with a baseball bat and punched him. The man, Roger Swanson of Torrington, says he suffered a black eye and several bruises.
The woman, Melanie Arnold, denies she screamed. She tells The Associated Press her daughter heard a slap and thought it was an assault.

My husband was hit by chronic vertigo about 18 years ago. He was on sick-leave for about 3 weeks while he relearned how to balance himself. His first day back at work went well. On the second day, his coworkers put everything in his office at an angle. He did fall over…laughing.
Last time we had a sleeper, we reset the office clock to 9pm, turned off all the lights and had the guy’s wife call him asking where the hell he was.

Loud Sex Leads to Assault Charge for Four Teens, Police Say
Thursday, July 02, 2009

Ya can’t make this stuff up?

Air France plane did not break up in flight - report
PARIS, France (CNN) — The Air France plane that crashed a month ago off the coast of Brazil “did not break up or become destroyed in flight,” but bellyflopped intact into the Atlantic Ocean, the French air investigation agency announced Thursday.
“The plane went straight down, almost vertically… towards the surface of the water, very very fast,” air accident investigator Alain Bouillard said.
Based on visual study of the physical remains of the Airbus A330 that have been recovered, “we were able to see that the plane hit the surface of the water flat. Therefore everything was pushed upwards — everything was pushed from the bottom to the top” of the plane, he said.
[…]
Air France 447 was unable to fly on autopilot at the time of the crash, the investigator said. That was because the autopilot was not receiving speed, wind or direction information, he said.
Hmm.
One possible cause that comes to mind is blocked pitot tubes. This has happened before; ground crews put tape over the pitot tubes when cleaning the aircraft; then forget to take the stuff off. Pilot doesn’t check. Once airborne, the computer can’t get accurate information based on air pressure and speed.

House Energy Committee Chair Henry Waxman (D-CA) defended the bill’s controversial ‘virgin exclusions’ rider, which specifies sacrificial exemptions for certain religious orders, members of Congress, and Keith Olbermann.
…
Presidential spokesman Robert Gibbs, himself a well-known virgin, sought to allay fears about the bill.
“Look, I know this bill has been the subject of wild rumors and speculation, but let’s all just sit back and see how it plays out,” said Gibbs. “The bottom line is that the virgin community has nothing to worry about. Believe me, if this thing passes, I promise everybody’s going to get screwed.”

They had been talking about iced-over pitot tubes because the ones on the aircraft hadn’t been replaced. This is consistent with that, but not with terrorism, which would have made a hole in the aircraft causing it to come apart.

Michael Jackson’s ex-wife Debbie Rowe broke her silence Thursday and declared she wants custody of the two children she had with the late King of Pop.
“I want my children,” Rowe said during a 90-minute phone interview with NBC-LA early Thursday.
[Link: www.foxnews.com…]
I wonder if she wants to go to his funeral if she will have to pay?
She should have them.
Jacksons’ family puts the “d” in dysfunctional… the parents did a crap job raising the first set of kids, they were all messed up psychologically and emotionally. They have no absolutely business trying to raise their their grandkids.
It’s totally gaggifying to have to watch MJ’s parents and siblings circling around like vultures before he’s even buried.
Someone needs to step in and have these kids moved into a stable (read: nondysfuctional) home. And that doesn’t necessarily mean the home that has the most money, the best nannies that money can buy and the priciest bedroom furniture.

My husband was hit by chronic vertigo about 18 years ago. He was on sick-leave for about 3 weeks while he relearned how to balance himself. His first day back at work went well. On the second day, his coworkers put everything in his office at an angle. He did fall over…laughing.
I had an odd experience similar to that several years ago. I had a pretty bad cold and blew my nose. All of a sudden the room started spinning. At the time, I was alone in my apartment I managed to sit down before I fell down.
So now I am sitting there thinking I am having a stroke or something and I need to get to a phone to dial 911. I am trying to figure out how to get to the phone without falling. After a minute or two I hear a squeaking sound from my ear as the pressure I had put on my ear by blowing my nose balances itself out. A couple seconds later I was back to normal. A very odd and scary experience…

All is not lost, agreed your property has lost 1/2 or more in value, your loan is 25% higher than the current unlikely sale price, ya and the commission thing, the cost of the sale and ya, like you have to move 3 hours from work if you buy back in at a reasonable payment, but, but,

There was an exhibit making the rounds in the last few years—it was in New York for quite a while, and may still be touring—that consisted of human corpses that had been subjected to a plasticizing process. You could see the musculature, the internal organs, etc.; the whole thing was like one of those old Visible Man figures except made of genuine dead Chinese.
I refused to go to it, thank you.

Yikes! Glad it passed quickly.

Wait, this woman tried to sell the kids to Michael & she renounced custody.
Right after his death she said that taking care of the kids would take time away from caring for her horses. She is no bargain.

Yea, once I had a chance to think about it, it made sence. The nerves in the ear control balance. Presure on the wrong nerves in there and there goes your balance. There are two similar exhibitions. One, as you said, was made with Chinese people, many of whom were thought to be political prisoners. The other, which I saw at the California Science Center in 2005, was made using individuals who consented and donated their bodies for that purpose. There were signs in the exhibit explaining where the bodies came from. It was actually fascinating and not as gross as I expected.

Obama Administration to Involve NSA in Defending Civilian Agency Networks
The Obama administration will proceed with a Bush-era plan to use National Security Agency assistance in screening government computer traffic on private-sector networks, with AT&T as the likely test site, according to three current and former government officials.
President Obama said in May that government efforts to protect computer systems from attack would not involve “monitoring private sector networks or Internet traffic” and Department of Homeland Security officials say that the new program will only scrutinize data going to or from government systems.

i don’t think she is a bargain either. and she may not even be the biological mother, just the surrogate. there should be a DNA test on her. she gave them up so easily and quickly to him w/ no visitation rights after they “divorced.”
i’m not sure she wants custody of the children or custody of the money, they will bring.
i feel so bad for those kids.

Update: WaPo shuts down Salon idea
The flier circulated this morning came out of a business division for conferences and events, and the newsroom was unaware of such communication. It went out before it was properly vetted, and this draft does not represent what the company’s vision for these dinners are, which is meant to be an independent, policy-oriented event for newsmakers. As written, the newsroom could not participate in an event like this.
We do believe there is an opportunity to have a conferences and events business, and that The Post should be leading these conversations in Washington, big or small, while maintaining journalistic integrity. The newsroom will participate where appropriate.

UN expert says Israeli seizure of aid ship a crime
Richard Falk, the United Nations special rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territories, said the move was part of Israel’s “cruel blockade of the entire Palestinian population of Gaza” in violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibiting any form of collective punishment against “an occupied people”.
Falk, an American expert on international law, said Israel’s two-year blockade of Hamas-ruled Gaza restricted vital supplies such as food, medicine and fuel to “bare subsistence levels”.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said in a report this week that Israel was also halting entry to Gaza of building materials and spare parts needed to repair damage from its 22-day invasion late last December.
“Such a pattern of continuing blockade under these conditions amounts to such a serious violation of the Geneva Conventions as to constitute a continuing crime against humanity,” Falk said in a statement released in Geneva.

The problem is, we need them to keep lending us money. If they stop, the government has big problems. So if we make them unhappy, suddenly we can’t pay our bills.

I used to run the Mt. Washington Road Race. “The race with only one hill.” The biggest problem was that you had to be able to adapt to the temperatures as you went up. Its run on Father’s Day weekend. You can be 70 at the base and have sleet in your face at the top. My times sucked, but what the hell, I was doing it to race against me, not the guy that can pound out the 8 min miles all the way up. 7.2 miles of grunt it out. There were always pockets of snow still at the peak.

What about Malware? I see that shit everyday on the net…I’ve seen Malware slow down only popular sites and esp. Sharepoint security sites

what are you using for Malware?
Full blown MaAfee suite. Like I say, if it was Malware, I should see some indication of a problem on other sites, or the Malware doing it’s thing on my side.

You can do it with version 3, but you have to get the version that includes the USB code fix. I needed that in order to get Neat Receipts to work properly.
I thought I had the latest when V4 came out, and it didn’t work.
All the external drives on the Mac now show up as shared drives in Parallels, and when I plug something in to the USB port, it asks me if it should go to the VM or to Mac.
And my Fedora 9 installation works right after converting it. Well, mostly; it thinks the screen is bigger than it is, but that should be easy to fix.

Sales of treasury securities is a source of funds to the federal government. They have to be paid back at various times depending on the type of security. That is debt. Saying we are “borrowing money” from them is somewhat of an oversimplification of the process, but it is essentially true.

re: #408 HoosierHoops
Depends on what the word gamble means. In general the answer is no. Most of the time, the house has the odds stacked against you. However, I invest. I am off my peak, but still way, way ahead of the game. I retired at the end of 2001 with $X. I have taken around 1.5*X dollars in my draw since. I have 2.5*X+ dollars left. The ancient Egyptian thing is not a total accident. You have to be a study of psychology and history to invest along with knowing how companies and the law work. I am also a student of religion for the same reason. Reasonable Bible collection. People express their view of reality through their selection of religious beliefs. Student of early Christianity and Gnosticism. Mushed through a lot of Islamic rot too.
When you understand psychology and behavior, you can shave the dice a bit. Some rolls still come up snake eyes. But in general you can rise above the crowd. It also involves understanding yourself. Something a lot of folks have a hard time doing.

re: #480 HoosierHoops
I do not give out investment tips. There is a simple reason. There are many roads up the mountain. They will all get you to the top. But unless you are willing to follow your own road with an iron will in investing, you are going to lose. As I say you have to know yourself more than anything that has to do with any company. You can make money doing options, you can make money with structure arbitrage, you can make money with distressed debt, you can make money many ways. You have to find the style that works for you and keep to it. After you know yourself you have to know who you are playing against. As WEB says “If you sit down at the poker table and do not know who the chump is, you are the chump.” Only then do you start to pick over companies to look for opportunities in accordance with your investing style. Its not easy. Those kids from MIT who did the card counting worked hard. Same iron will and play your game that you need in investing. I spend a full day working. And you better like to read because you will do a lot of it. Junk from companies, SEC filings, news, books, more books, still more books. By the way you read a lot. And none of it is “How I turned $10 dollars into $10 million dollars with my secret trading plan.” The secret plan is to sell the plan for $10 to a million people.

Jordan’s King Abdullah II named his eldest son as heir to the throne Thursday, ending five years of speculation over his successor.
Abdullah’s move is aimed at avoiding the uncertainty over succession that dogged his father, King Hussein. In 1999, Jordanians were baffled to see Hussein - on his death bed struggling with cancer - strip his brother, Prince Hassan, of the crown and give it to Abdullah.
Hassan had been groomed for the Hashemite throne for more than three decades.
By naming Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah crown prince, Abdullah can groom the 15-year-old for the throne from a young age.
Hussein’s appointment came in a royal decree released by the palace. It said the crown prince will hold the title and “enjoy the rights and privileges of his post” effective immediately.

The new jihadi menu — eat your kill
If anyone ever doubted the West faces sheer insanity in the fight against the most extreme of the Muslim extremists, consider a discussion that recently erupted on a jihadist Web site based on the writings of one of al Qaeda’s leading theorists. The thrust of the debate was that Muslim fighters may be justified in cannibalizing U.S. soldiers if they find themselves with nothing else to eat.

Now I will admit that I have seen some master electricians go down to the electrical room in my life and wet their finger and touch the buss bar and say, “Yep that phase is hot, that phase is hot, that one isn’t” so if you know what you are doing, you can get away with it. The terms “debt” and “borrowing” are used quite a bit.
Bonds are debt, whereas stocks are equity. This is the important distinction between the two securities. By purchasing equity (stock) an investor becomes an owner in a corporation. Ownership comes with voting rights and the right to share in any future profits. By purchasing debt (bonds) an investor becomes a creditor to the corporation (or government).

Exactly. Bonds are a way to raise cash, but those bonds eventually mature and come due. Municipalities and toll authorities do this all the time to raise cash, but they are expected to pay off these bonds by the time they mature. It is a loan.

They are not lending us money.
Well, Obama & Co. have set us up to borrow a boatload of money over the next year or so. If the Chinese don’t loan it to us, I’m not sure who will. Just what we need right now is for the bond market to tank like the stock market did. A significant drop in bond prices will probably take the Dow back down to 6600 or lower. Do we really want higher interest rates that will kill off any chance of a recovery?
The Chinese are lending us money, and we need them to lend us a lot more.

Killgore, ever seen how bonds are sold by municipalities and toll authorities? They are expected to pay them off by the time they mature. These bonds can also go into default. Effectively, they are a loan to the governing body from people who purchase these bonds in a similar way to stockholders, but bondholders are not stockholders. They have no voting rights in the governing authority (unless they live under said governing authority) unlike stockholders. Bonds also have a fixed price unlike more volatile stocks (which are based on equity, not debt).

re: #516 ArchangelMichael
But all things that trade on the NYSE are not pure stocks or bonds either. For instance, there is a breed of stuff that is a company subordinated convertible trust preferred. AES preferred class C is an example. It is a junior bond that you can convert into shares of the stock. The conversion price is around 35 bucks on the common and the common is trading down around 11 or so, so you don’t. When it was trading in the stratosphere during the IPP mania prior to the Enron bust, it traded more like a stock than a bond. Its value was that you could convert it into a given number of shares at your pleasure and sell them. There are also all sorts of trusts that trade on the NYSE that are really bonds. Some broker sets them up takes a cut and walks away after selling shares in the trust to the public. It can get a lot more complicated than just bonds vs. stock. There are chimera that are sort of different from either of them. Another example is Ford preferred class T. It converts into a number of shares of Ford common. It is a junior bond but its interest payments are now deferred and can be for up to 5 years. They are cumulative and earn interest on the interest. There are many things out there. If you play in that sandbox understand the rules of the game to the letter. It can make a horrific difference.

When states, municipalities and even companies issue bonds, they are raising capital and investors are typically paid interest on those bonds until they mature or ‘called’. The investors are loaning their money when they buy these bonds and expect to be paid back, one way or another.

Having an argument over the semantics of it is stupid and does not change the end result.
China is a creditor to the US government. Creditors can be a real fucking pain in the ass to a debtor when you don’t pay them back. Direct threats to our sovereignty are of course ridiculous but a lot of backdoor bullshit can, and probably is, going on to keep China happy, keep them buying T-Bills, and to keep us out of default.

re: #551 Iron Fist
Somebody, someplace, will have to make a bid for our treasury notes, bonds, etc. They will then pay us in little green scraps of toilet paper with dead people on them. We will reward the people who buy the bonds by giving them more little green scraps of paper with dead people on them than they gave us. We can coin money out of thin air. Most coinage is worth less than its scrap value as metal. The exception was the penny of recent which was worth more than one cent for its zinc value since it was made of zinc and washed with copper. But the green pieces of paper with dead people on them are federal reserve notes. These are backed by an IOU from uncle sam. The fed buys $XX debt from uncle and then prints $XX face of little green scraps of paper with dead people on them. The US notes and the Silver Certificates are a thing of the past.
So either the Chinese or somebody buys the debt or the Fed can buy the debt and then issue lots of little green scraps of paper with dead people on them. Eventually if the Fed does this enough, my $100 trillion dollar Rhodesian note will be worth more than $100 trillion US. Ben would not mind monetizing the debt by issuing more little green scraps of paper with dead people on them. The question is how to deal with that so you do not get a hyperinflation over time. We do not have to sell our debt to any foreign country, we can sell it to ourselves. But that is like taking a dollar out of your left pocket and putting it in your right pocket and saying you are a dollar richer. It just isn’t so.

“Banana republic,” for those unfamiliar with the term, referred originally to the extremely volatile Central American nations which were formed in the wake of the final collapse of the remnants of the Spanish empire after their defeat in the Spanish-American War.
The United Fruit Company, as an American concern with money and influence with the winning side in that war (i.e., the US), pretty much ran a lot of these new countries, which depended on the growing and export of bananas for the bulk of their national income.
A “banana republic” was therefore an unstable, ill-defined country, prone to revolts and coups, which was largely dependent on the growing of bananas and semi-in thrall to United Fruit.
Fig Tree Hill is my own little banana republic…in Jamaica…I grow bananas down there…they are fun and easy to grow…of course the trees are not 90ft tall yet

Maybe maybe not:
One story that is widely repeated among Mexican-Americans as well as throughout the Southwest United States was that during the Mexican-American War the Mexicans who knew little English referred to the Americans’ green uniforms and would shout, “Green go!”, meaning “Leave our country.” But the Mexican-American War occurred during the years of 1845-1848 and the U.S. Army had blue uniforms in the 19th Century. The olive drab green uniform was not adopted by the U.S. Army until the reforms of General Leonard Wood in 1908.

The Obama admin. has set a dangerous precedent by screwing over the Chrysler and GM bondholders. They’ve turned bond default into a government policy.
California is going to start paying some of its obligations with IOU’s. Are they next going to decide to stiff their bondholders to pay the teachers and the CHP? That would make it extremely difficult for any state of local govt to borrow, except at much higher rates.
Is Obama going to decide that those rich people who own US Treasury securities can live without their interest payments? You’re talking about damaging this country in a way that won’t be rectified for over a hundred years.
Obama doesn’t have an economic policy, he only has economic ignorance.
/rant over, and I gotta run.

IIRC, Banana Republic used to focus on pseudo-safari clothing and accessories for those who enjoy playing the Great White Hunter. Their catalog was full of stories about the alleged owner’s travels in exotic parts of the world (wearing the items in the catalog, of course). I always assumed the character J. Peterman on “Seinfeld” was a spoof of this, although his name recalls J. Crew, the epitome of preppy chic.

…accommodating creditors is never a fun thing.
Exactly so. But a nation that defaults on its debts destroys its credit, at a minimum, which is far worse. It finds itself in a very deep disadvantage in any trade relations.
Further, if its creditors have the means to press a military resolution, they must, else their remaining debtors won’t honor their own obligations.
The logic of the ensuing war is inevitable.

The Kholer company In Kholer Wisconsin was the site of one of the ugliest labor riots ever. In the early 1900’s they brought over German immigrants to work. They paid them in company script (company store) & it was impossible to ever get out of debt. The company owned them and acted like it.
The workers finally rebeled & killed a lot of management. To this day there are tunnles under the production plant that were put there for management to use to get out, if it happened again.
They have a Five Star resort there & They actually have pictures of immigrant workers in one of the restaurants.

re: #627 buzzsawmonkey
I guess you’ve never seen the Peterman catalog. I don’t know if they are still in business, but about 15 years ago they were quite popular. They had drawings, never photos, of their clothing, all of which was “exotic”—Australian drover coats, that kind of thing—with the same kind of breathy, highly colored, pseudo travelog descriptions that Peterman and Elaine do in the Seinfeld episodes. I don’t remember now if it was “Peterman” or “J.Peterman.”
Banana Republic’s “Great White Hunter” thing was a bargain-basement version of the old Abercrombie & Fitch. A&F went bankrupt about 20 or 25 years ago, but before that they actually sold hunting, fishing and safari gear of the sort that moneyed businessmen used to go camping in the Great North Woods or rhino-shooting in Africa, back when you could shoot rhinos. Ernest Hemingway was a big customer, before he blew his head off.
The current A&F, which takes Calvin Klein porn ads to a whole new level, merely bought up the old trademarks.
I’m sure you’re right, as usual. I distinctly recall the catalogs, but as usual various things got scrambled in my memory. I also remember the old A&F. Thank you for clarifying.

re: #611 buzzsawmonkey
I was raised with a company store. Unlike the archetype, we adored it. Not only were families given credit, but we could special order, you could shop by phone and have items ready for pick up. The most extraordinary thing was the store gave credit during strikes! Under the supposition that the strike would one day end and we would all have to make up. The longest strike was 3 months. The store kept many a family in cereal. rice and milk when money had long disappeared (and you realize the store was owned by the same company thew strike was against). This benign attitude is why many in Hawaii do not remember their lives with the visceral hatred that our urban counterparts reserve for a planation life they never lived. The grocery section of the store morphed into a local chain. Macy’s ultimately picked up the dry goods. But ask anyone on Kauai, and they will tell you Lihue Store was the best.

Good evening, Lizards.
Try these memory-joggers;
U.S. Marines In Nicaragua 1910-1933
History of Nicaragua- Wikipedia
As for the bit about “gringo”, IIRC it was a border-Spanish term (Mexican border, that is) for a Norteamericano before the turn of the last century. Of course, it could also have been wrongly assumed to exist that far back due to its use by “Mexican bandidos” in Western movies, too, which only became common in the 1950s and ’60s. Whether that was due to marines in Nicaragua two decades earlier, or due to the Hays Office putting their foot down on “racial epithets” prior to 1950, I’m not in a position to say.
cheers

According to Wikipedia, O. Henry coined the term banana republic.
The term was originally invented as a very direct reference to a “servile dictatorship” which abetted (or directly supported in return for kickbacks) the exploitation of large-scale plantation agriculture (usually banana).[1] The term was coined by the American author O. Henry in his 1904 book of linked short stories, “Cabbages and Kings”, set in the fictional “Anchuria”, which was based on his 1896-97 stay in Honduras.

Walter: RE slow LGF access. From the description I would say 99.99 chance it’s client side to your pc.
Start from O.
Turn off Virus check temporarily.
Same for Firewall
Delete browser cookies and temp files
Reboot.
Look at the site with two different browsers.
A corrupted image stored in cache will hang processes up sometimes until it’s deleted. Malware also as someone mentioned would be a prime suspect these days. But your visits to all sites would be slow then.
I have had the ad servers slow me down sometimes. I have a very slow 5year old gateway and sometimes it handshakes too long with the ad servers and restarts the handshaking. More ram would fix my issue or maybe moving to a linux system. I’d have to dump my porn collection in the reformat then and that just doesn’t seem feasible.
Image delivery will hold up a lot of web servers, even small images. The network path can be ok, but the web server and you are having trouble competing for resources. If you tracert to the ad servers you might see more of a delay then if you tracert to lgf. I see google analytics loading, some amazon stuff and a couple of other ads.
I am on comcast and for me the comcast connection most often caused me issues. DNS not working for a day or so. Router table corrupted. But they will get more then one complaint in those cases.
