The population would need to know the difference between sane and insane. I'm not sure that is a human trait yet.

Throw in post wing and anti idiotarian and you have a solid smart base. A minority base, but a quality one...

Just now recovering from the Sanity Party convention in DC. Two days in a car, 12 hrs in a bus, 8hrs on the grass, 12 hrs in a bus, 2 days in a car. Seems sane, somehow.

Ya know Al Franken scorned the term "Mushy Middle" for the 60% of us who are not on the lunatic fringe like Jesse Helms or Jese Jackson.....that's not a very catchy phrase either....
