The Palin-Rose Experience
Anti-choice smear artist Lila Rose will be appearing at a fundraiser for an extremist anti-abortion group, along with everyone’s favorite half-governor: Sarah Palin to Share Stage With Lila Rose.

I didn’t know it was possible to get that much crazy together on the same stage but then I remembered CPAC was a few weeks back.

I just went to HM’s website and looked at their online poll. Nothing slanted about it./////////

The “heroism of motherhood”? Aren’t we setting the bar just a tad low for being a hero?

Just cause she’s a stripper doesn’t mean she shoots up.

Sad thing is that if this HM organization wasn’t so sanctimonious and didn’t feel the need to denigrate people’s choices, I’d think that it was a laudable goal, to give pregnant women an alternative to abortion.

Whoops! Must have been a Freudian slip. After all, look who is usually behind the anti-choice campaigns…the majority are men.

re: #7 jamesfirecat

I don’t think heroineism is a word. But it’s really telling that Sarah is sharing the same stage with a woman who first came to my attention at least as saying that we needed to have abortions in the public squares. There’s being reasonable on the issue and then there’s that. Lila Rose is “that.”

Abortion is an alternative to motherhood, not the other way around. The legality of abortion makes it an alternative. The goal of Rose’s group isn’t laudable on any level, because it’s about eliminating alternatives, not preserving them.

Adopting black babies, of course, because of all the genocide and such.

I agree and think you may have misunderstood me (my mind’s not working too well today, so please forgive me). I’m all for adding alternatives, not eliminating any. If there are resources available to help a woman who choose to carry a pregnancy to term and then keep the baby or give it up for adoption, great. I don’t agree with people who use push polls to twist the public’s perception about Planned Parenthood. Hope that makes more sense.

What I hate about rabid anti choicers like Rose and Palin is they don’t realize that abortion is a difficult choice. Bristol was lucky that she came from a well to do family who could support her after her pregnancy and giving birth. There are a lot of poor girls and young women out there who don’t have that. I’ve said it before but I would respect them more if they started talking about how we need to help unwed and poor mothers out but Palin is the queen of calling everything she doesn’t like, “Socialism” and I have no question she’d do the same here.

The abortion, black genocide, slavery false equivalence should be offensive to anyone who can add or contruct a sentence. The very best take down of that bullshit was by Ta-Nehisi Coates. Not only dismantles Santorum et al but does it with a thing of beauty and passion.

Strange but true: both Palin and Rose are attractive women who all-but-explicitly advocate open violence against the millions of law-abiding Americans who happen to disagree with them about a few things. I wonder if these two will continue to tag-team?
Maybe Lila can teach Sarah how to load a gun, so she doesn’t have to see her father too often.
